Travel Lust: Amazon Rainforest

Out of all of the places in the world, I cannot imagine anywhere more incredible to visit than the Amazon Rainforest.

 

With the majority of the forest residing within the borders of Brazil, this natural wonder is home to the second largest river in the world, the Amazon.

The lush climate of the rainforest lends itself to the millions of species of plants, animals, and insects found there.

I can only imagine what it would be like to trek through the jungle and see the amazing flora and fauna that I only see on the Discovery Channel- like this jaguar. 

It's almost hard to believe that this frog was not painted!

Along with being the largest rainforest in the world, the Amazon is home to the largest flower in the world- the Rafflesia flower.

 

Could you imagine seeing this up close in real life?

It would be amazing to see monkeys swinging from the tree tops above- as long as they're nice monkeys!

There's a reason people are always talking about saving the rainforest...

What a stunning a fascinating place! Isn't nature incredible?
